Our client is the strategic purchasing platform of a leading European FMCG Group.
For this client, Talent Fishers is looking for a Senior Merchandiser (Packaging plastic& paper, hard goods …) to accompany the growth of the purchasing volume in China and the extension of perimeters of the platform.
Job description
With the assistance of purchasing assistants, the Senior Merchandiser will be in charge of:
• Project development according to internal clients’ requests in Europe
• Needs analysis with customers under delegation
• Quotation
• Project follow-up
• Supplier negotiation round 1
• Monitor supplier performance
• Value Analysis with the suppliers
• Supplier relationship management
• Reporting
• Implementation of the purchasing strategy
• PPS preparation and pre-validation
• Supplier sourcing
• Product sourcing
• Launch Request for Information, Request for Proposal and Request for Quotation
The Sourcing leader reports directly to the in-line manager.
Job requirements
• Sourcing & Purchasing experiences in a strongly process oriented environment.
• Experience in liaising with multiple interlocutors with various departments of internal clients abroad.
• Project management experience with large range of products.
• Large network with local suppliers with international standards.
• Good understanding of the importance of technical specifications.
• Experiences in monitoring suppliers performance with the highest quality control
• Native Mandarin, fluent in English, French will be considered as a strong plus
